Participants will gain a clear understanding of the distinctions between Fall Arrest, Fall Protection, and Fall Restraint systems. Through hands-on training, they’ll learn practical methods to identify and prevent falls in the workplace.

Course Purpose
This course is designed to educate workers on how to effectively plan, use, maintain, and implement common fall protection systems to ensure workplace safety.

Regulations & Fundamentals: Understanding the importance of fall protection and the legal roles and responsibilities of workers and employers.

Hazard Management: Identifying and assessing fall hazards, applying the hierarchy of controls, and developing safe work procedures.

Equipment Mastery: Exploring types of fall arrest systems and learning the proper use, care, storage, maintenance, and inspection of equipment and components.

Physics & Mechanics: Understanding fall protection system forces and required clearance distances.

Prerequisites

Physical Capability: Must be physically able to inspect, put on (don), and take off (doff) a full-body harness.
