This Class 5 driver education programs aligned with Alberta Transportation Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) requirements. This program focuses on defensive driving, real-world skill development, and safe driving behaviours. This course also includes Defensive Driving.

Program Components
Classroom Theory - 15 Hours Online
- Alberta Traffic Safety Act and Rules of the Road
- Defensive Driving Principles and Hazard Recognition
- Speed Management, Space Cushion, and Right-of-Way
- Impaired, Distracted, and Fatigued Driving
- Winter Driving, Emergency Situations, and Collision Avoidance
In-Vehicle Training (20 Hours)
- Vehicle familiarization and pre-trip safety checks
- Residential, urban, and highway driving
- Lane changes, intersections, merging, and yielding
- Parking techniques (parallel, angle, stall)
- Mock road tests and detailed instructor feedback
Defensive Driving
Certification
Upon successful completion of the Class 5 Driver Education program, students will receive a Driver Education Completion Certificate eligible for insurance reduction under Alberta regulations.
